The Watering
By-Law 03-03-108 was passed
on the 19th of March 2003 to
regulate lawn and garden watering
in the Township for residents
supplied with municipal water.
The restriction is to ensure
an abundance of safe drinking
water to all residents without
compromising the supply for
fire fighting, businesses and
everyday use.

garden watering is only permitted
between the hours of 6:30
p.m. and 8:30 p.m. and is
restricted to only one lawn
sprinkler or other appliance
for sprinkling.
lawn watering
times can be increased for
new lawns due to new construction
and shall be requested in
writing to the By-Law Enforcement
Officer.

water restriction may be
required with the approval
of the Plant Manager of
the water works system and
majority of Council if the
Township’s water
supply becomes threatened.

contravening this By-Law may
be charged under Part I of
the Provincial Offences Act
in the amounts listed in the
schedule of Set Fines.
