Monday, October 25, 2010 is Election Day for municipalities in Ontario

The Township of Whitewater Region encourages you to participate in the upcoming municipal election.  Voting is an essential right of democracy.  When you vote, you are selecting representatives who will make the laws and policies that determine how our Township functions and how we live together.

KEY DATES
Nomination and campaign period begins January 4, 2010
Revision Period commences September 1, 2010
nomination Day (last day to be nominated) September 10, 2010
Final day for withdrawal of candidacy September 10, 2010
Election Day October 25, 2010
Council term begins December 1, 2010
RESIDENTS OF WHITEWATER REGION COME AND JOIN THE FUN!!!!!
 
Election Results will be posted at The Cobden Agricultural Hall beginning at 8:00 p.m. OCTOBER 25th, 2010
     
All Electors should have received a Voter Instruction Letter in the mail which shall include a Personal “PIN” Number that will entitle the person to vote in the 2010 Municipal and School Board Elections.
With that PIN you can vote online or by way of telephone.
  Voter Help Centers have been set up at Cobden Municipal Office and Westmeath Public Works Garage, where you can Vote by Internet, Telephone or by Paper ballot during Business Hours:
