On April
2, 2008, Council passed By-Law
No.
08-04-333
which establishes comprehensive
purchasing policies and procedures
that apply to all purchases
of goods and services made
by the Township of Whitewater
Region.
An advertised
Public Tender is required for
all purchases over $20,000 and
for all vehicle purchases. These
tenders shall be publicly advertised
in at least two newspapers with
distribution within the municipality.
Tender bids shall be opened
in the presence of a Tender
Award Committee consisting of
at least three members that
includes the CAO or his designate,
a member of Council and a recording
secretary. Tender bid openings
shall be open to the public.
