Delegation

The Township of Whitewater Region may hear delegations at a Council meeting. Council meetings begin at 6:00 pm and delegations are usually heard at the beginning of the meeting.

 

Each delegation is given ten minutes to make their presentation to Council, after which Council members may ask questions or comment on the information presented.

 

In order to appear as a delegation you must submit a written request, addressed to the Mayor and Council in care of :

Requests to appear as a Delegation before Council must be received at the Township Office by noon of the Wednesday prior to the Council meeting.

 

Your letter must include:

the subject you wish to present;

the name and address of the designated speaker;

a telephone number or email address to contact the speaker.

 

Please note that all correspondence submitted to the Township of Whitewater Region will form part of the public record and will be published when this matter is before Council or a Committee of Council. The Township considers the author’s address relevant to Council’s consideration of this matter and will disclose this personal information. However, the author’s phone number and email address are not required and should be omitted if the author does not wish this personal information disclosed.

A staff member will contact the speaker to confirm their place on the Council agenda, whether any audio/visual support is required and the time of the presentation.
