GUIDED WALKING TOUR @ Beachburg Tract Forest

Thomas D'Arcy McGee: A Man for our Times

The Bromley Historical Society is honoured to welcome former Renfrew MPP and university professor, Sean Conway who will speak on “Thomas D’Arcy McGee: A Man for our Times”. This free public presentation will take place on Sunday, September 14, 2pm, at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 34 Pembroke Street, Cobden. Refreshments will be served following his presentation.

BEACHBURG FIBREFEST

Presented by the Beachburg Agricultural Society, 17 Caroline Street, Beachburg starting at 10am until 4pm.  Admission by donation.  Suggested donation $5.00.  Pre-registerfor workshops!  Activities for all ages.  Workshops: Rug Hooking, Basketry, Felting.  Fibre Artists, textile merchants, artisan vendors, sheep herding, sheep shearing, Alpaca walks, circular sock knitting, small loom weaving, inkle weaving, hand quilting, flax processing, children's fibre crafts, quilt gallery, food vendors, BBQ competition, licenced tea room.

Whitewater Historical Society 40th Anniversary Dinner

The WHS is celebrating its 40th Anniversary on September 20th at the Westmeath Hall. Tickets are $30 and include a social hour, dinner, presentations, entertainment, 50/50 draw and a silent auction.

Cobden Agricultural Society's ATV Poker Run

Cobden Fairgrounds, 43 Astrolabe Road, Cobden.  Registration @ 9am-1015am with parking at the rear of fair grounds.  Poker run starts at 1030am.  Entry fee $25.00 (cash only).  $500 total prize money.  

Route is 97km and a combination of Trail & Road (no mud).  Opento  four wheelers and side by sides.  Trail pass is required.  Weather permitting.
