Wallace and Simmons Drive Reconstruction

Project Description

The Township of Whitewater Region will be reconstructing the full length of Wallace and Simmons Drive.  The 400m reconstruction project scope of work consists of the following:

  • Removal of the asphalt surface;
  • Culvert replacement;
  • Minor ditching;
  • New granular base material; and
  • Paving a new asphalt surface.

Schedule

The removal of the existing asphalt is scheduled for August 14th. Once the existing surface has been removed, Township will regrade and place a new granular base. Paving is anticipated to be fully completed by mid-September.

Notices

Future notices will be sent to property owners along the project area.

Funding

The 2025 budget includes the reconstruction of Wallace and Simmons Drive, funded by the Canada Community-Building Fund (CCBF) and taxation.  The total project cost for the Wallace and Simmons Drive reconstruction is estimated at $70,000.
