Garbage and Recycling

Two (2) bags of garbage, no heavier than 50 pounds each in regular bags can be placed curbside for collection each week.  Bags must be properly tied, unbroken.  It may be placed inside a can or receptacle

Garbage and Recycling must be placed at curbside on a publicly maintained road by 7:00 am.

If you require more than 2 bags, you will be required to purchase Township issued yellow bags now $5 each.  They can be purchased at local retailers or at the municipal office:

As of July 1, 2025, the recycling collection program in Whitewater Region will be managed by Circular Materials Ontario and their contractor Miller Waste. Miller Waste can be contacted about replacement bins, missed collection and any other recycling questions. Contact information for Miller Waste can be found below.
