Government Road Reconstruction

Project Description
The project limits of the Government Road reconstruction project are between Foresters Falls Road (County Road 7) and Fletcher Road.

The 3.0 km reconstruction project scope of work consists of the following:

  • Removal of the double surface treatment surface;
  • Culvert replacement;
  • Minor ditching;
  • New granular base material; and
  • Installation of an asphalt surface.

Schedule

The geotechnical investigation, including 18 completed boreholes, is complete. The project has moved into the tender phase, which closes at the end of March.

Notices

Future notices will be sent to property owners in the project area. 

Funding

The 2026 budget includes the reconstruction of Government Road, funded by the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund (OCIF), Canada Community-Building Fund (CCBF), and taxation.  The total project cost for the Government Road reconstruction project is estimated at $660,000.
