The Whitewater Region Public Library offers patrons lending material (books, DVDs, magazines, museum passes), inter-library loans, printing, scanning, photocopying and many more services at each of its three Branches - Beachburg, Cobden and Foresters Falls. Membership in the Library is free to all permanent and seasonal residents of the Whitewater Region. In order to receive your free library card, you will need to provide verification of your address so please bring a driver's license, mail or something that confirms your identity and address. For anyone outside of the Whitewater Region non-resident library cards are available for $10.00.
Seasonal workers and college students may receive a library card by paying a $10.00 refundable deposit that will be returned at the end of the season and upon the return of all borrowed materials and library card.

Loan Periods & Fines
The loan period for books and all other materials is two weeks (14 days). Items may be dropped off after hours by using the outside "Book Return" deposit boxes. Borrowed items may be renewed by calling the Library or contacting your Branch by email. Please see Locations Section for email addresses.
Fines for overdue items are set at 10 cents per library day. If a book is damaged or lost, we ask that the full replacement cost be paid.
Museum passes are available at teach of the branches for Museum of Civilization, Canadian War Museum, Canadian Museum of Nature, Canada Agriculture and Food, Canadian Aviataion and Space, and the Ottawa Museum Network (includes the Diefenbunker). Each pass offers free admission for 2 Adults/3 Children. Please note if you are attending special exhibits/programs at a Museum additional admission fees may be required.
The lending period for museum passes is one week (7 days).
This free service is offered at all three Branches of the Library. If you can't find the book you want on our on-line catalogue we would be glad to try to order it for you through the inter-library loan system. Delivery of the books can take on an average 1-2 weeks (depending on what Library it is coming from in Ontario) and the books can be kept for 3-4 weeks.
